Q.How do I use the skincare line?

A.We believe Skincare should be easy and fast. Ours is a simple 3 step system that everyone has time for. Cleanse, tone and moisturize.

Step 1-Cleanse daily. The cleanser lifts away impurities and makeup while softening the skin. Botanical extracts revitalize the skin and mixed fruit acids clarify lackluster complexions.

Step 2-Tone after cleansing to rinse away last traces of cleanser and debris.

Step 3-Moisturize, the last step to beautiful skin. For those with oily skin, we suggest our Oil Control Matte Gel. An innovative formula that hydrates skin as it controls excess oils crating a velvety matte finish that minimizes pores. Our Moisturizer for all skin types is a daily moisturizer with the added benefit of SPF15 protection. Zhen Face Creme can be used morning and night.

Q.What does the Face Creme do? Can I use it with my moisturer?

A.The Face Creme is a treatment that contains Liposomes to deliver ingredients that improves cell reproduction. A treatment that can be used by all skin types to improve skin texture, elasticity and ability to retain moisture in the skin. This creme can be used day or night and is applied before your moisturizer. If you have oily skin you may find that the face creme provides enough moisture.

Q.What is the difference between eye creme and eye gel?

A.Zhen Eye Creme is an Alpha Hydroxy Acid treatment crated for the sensitive eye area. This formula is dye-free, fragrance free and oil free. Vitamins A, E and C and Squalane protect and smooth the skin. The Mixed Fruit Acids and Glycolic Acid help to refine skin. Use daily to improve and diminish the appearance of tiny fine lines in the eye area. Apply a small amount and gently tap around the eye area.

Zhen Eye Gel contains Liposomes that penetrate deep into cell layers to deliver active ingredients, Gingko Extract to stimulate cell reproduction and Vitamin E (an anti-oxidant) to fight free radicals. Use daily to improve elasticity and texture. Apply a small amount and gently pat around the eye area.

Q.What are Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA's)?

A.AHA's are naturally-occurring acids found in foods such as sour milk, apples and sugar cane. For example, citrus fruits yield citric acids, sour milk yields lactic acids, apples yield malic acid and sugar cane, the smallest molecule and therefore the deepest penetrating AHA, yields Glyocolic acids.

Glyocol Acid-The most active AHA, breaks through layers of tired dry cells.

Mixed Fruit Complex-Composed of Sugar Cane extract, Citrus extract, Apple extract and Green Tea extract, retexturizes and smoothes skin. With continued use a measurable reduction in fine lines and wrinkles can be seen.

Green Tea Extract-(a component of the Mixed Fruit Acid Complex) provides an anti-irritation factor that helps skin feel comfortable and smooth.

Q.How do Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA's) work?

A.AHA's dissolve the overly thick dead cell layers of the epidermis. By doing so the cell renewal rate increases and the skins ability to hold moisture improves. AHA's also deep cleanse pores so that skin appears more refined and clear.

Q.How do Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA's) perform on different skin types?

A.Oily, problem skin - conditions experienced by oily skin such as blemishes and blackheads are caused by sebum, cellular debris and dead cells trapped inside the pore. AHA's dissolve these elements and continued use provides a preventative treatment against further eruptions.

Aging dry skin - This skin type experiences a gradual slow down of cell turnover. Dehydration is also another common condition of this skin type. AHA's dissolve the layers of dead cells so that skin begins to shed smoothly and evenly again, creating a more polished and translucent look. The exfoliation mechanism produced by the AHA's also trigger increased cell reproduction. Skin begins to act younger, holding greater levels of moisture and looking plumper and smoother.

Q.Why do some people feel a slight stinging?

A.There may be a transient stinging for some people for a few seconds, but this is natural since these are acids. However, if prolonged stinging occurs, or burning and itching, this may be an allergic reaction and use of AHA's should be discontinued.

A.Liposomes are microscopic size spheres that penetrates deep into cell layers to deliver active ingredients. They are used in our Face Creme and Eye Gel to deliver Ginkgo Extract which help to stimulate cell reproduction.
